In 2010 Valeria took part in a professional photoshoot demonstrating Olga Oleynik’s exclusive fashion collection.
But it seems like these photos from russian edition of “Burda” magazine (a very popular magazine in ex-USSR countries) show that Olga’s designs are not that super exclusive after all…

(Magazine Entry: “Outfits Designed by Our Readers: The Best of The Best”; Author: Oksana Ranz )
And Olga asks $1190 for this super exclusive dress. Not bad huh?

That lace looks totally “made in China” for me, lol. My mom used a lace that looked better than these for petticoats when I was little.
God she is an aweful ” model”!
After looking a little closer, I think part of the disappeal of this “garment” is that it is bound too tightly on Valeria. That could contribute to the ill fit. Look at the sides, the lace is bunched up. Perhaps Lera wanted to show off her figure and that made this picture all the less flattering? The puckering seams, the st reached over her hips, and she is corseted, but the dress is bound so tight at the waist that the lace is more like a balled up tissue. I think maybe Olga made the dress to fit her own more voluptuous figure, but then just put it on her “friend” for the picture. I would like to see this dress on Olga.
I see nothing special in this dress…:(
Speaking of Olga, I wish I knew more about her story. Things like how she came to look the way she does and if she is as vile and ignorant as Valeria. I must say that I do think Olga is much more beautiful, crazy makeup aside. She at least shows more facial expressions then Lera.I have tried researching her but, the only things that are translated or worth reading are on here lol! If the makers of this site ever get some time, I would love to know more about Olga’s personal life.
This dress looks like it should retail for $70 at hot topic. It’s awful.
Hahaha! I was thinking the exact same thing.
The tayloring looks shoddy. And is it just me or is her face a different color than her body?
Yep, Valeria couldn’t find a matching color of foundation for a loooong time
2009:

I personally feel her skin is naturally beautiful which is why foundation of any colour would only make her only more artificial…. I know I have trouble finding natural looking foundation myself….(trust me, even Chanel foundation! I have tried!)
Agreed her skin is decent; looks like he assumed she was more tanned than in reality. I have mixed race including Asian and native Canadian; I find that mixing usually works. Lancôme has a decent colour selections. I have a light, then a more beige that I mix.
Can we have a post on Leras makeup mess ups? I am curious to see what the admin have in their vaults ❤
I reckond it was hand sewn that is why it is expensive…hand made items are usually quite harde and longer to make, and it is reflected in the price they charge.
Once I went to a local atelier and showed a picture of an outfit I wanted to a sewer and asked her how much sewing this outfit could cost, and she answered “Around $150-$200″ (it was an outfit quite difficult to sew, especially since I didn’t have a pattern). Only $200, not more than $1000 lol
To be honest I don’t know, but maybe materials are expensive, I know that lace (which she used a lot of in the dress pictured) can be quite costly. And the time and effort put in. Plus it looked nice on Valeriya, and it shows their support for each other which to me, is priceless. I sometimes wished I had a friend like that…..
Dunno, I’m quite sure Olga buys most of materials on a market, for a very low price:

But it’s just my opinion.
And you guys always surprise me when you say that you find Olga’s outfits looking nice. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a “hater”, I’m just trying to be objective. Look at all these horrible folds under Valeria’s breast. Omg! It always suprise me how you never notice such details. Maybe it’s because of cultural differences? I know really a lot of russian ladies who can sew, and they know a lot about proper designing of clothing to avoid all these imperfections. So when I read lots of comments from russian ladies like “omg these folds again my eyes are bleeding somebody kill me why Olga why”, and then switch to comments in english like “Olga is so talented omg I love her works”, it always just explodes my brains lol
I will agree. The seam work is novice. This looks like a highschool home economics project. If I’m going to pay over 1000 dollars for a peice of clothing, i prefer it have Armani on the tag. And no worries lifeinplastic, you are one of the most objective thinkers here
no one could call you a hater.
Hello lifeinplastic21 and Petal
thank you for writing to me back, I don’t actually know how to sew (at all), so thank you for pointing it out to me. But personally I think it is pretty good…..I am actually from a Western country and I don’t have enough money to buy Armani. But I was trying to look at it from Olga’s point of view. I only can afford one Chanel foundation from an online company. I think that both you Russian ladies must be really good sewers
(and designers btw) to have noticed those things…..I just looked at it and saw two good friends supporting each other…..
Asia
IAmAsia is just 12, nbd
Looks like a cheep Halloween costume.
Why would someone pay 1000 bucks for a dress that look like lingerie? D:
copycat!!!
